Maths and Physics

If you would like to train as a Maths or Physics teacher, you can do so through the National Maths and Physics SCITT – a route that privileges subject specific training on the ground, with experienced practitioners.

Charles Read Academy is the lead school for the East Midlands Hub of the National Maths and Physics SCITT with Professional Studies training days taking at the David Ross Education Trust head office in Loughborough. Applications can be made either on the UCAS website, by searching for National Mathematics and Physics SCITT, Training Provider Code 2H8. To apply to the East Midlands Hub, please select Training Location Code Q.

The PGCE is awarded by University of Buckingham for Maths and Physics trainees qualifying through this route.
