Students visit Northampton Saints

Eight students from Charnwood College recently visited Franklins Gardens for the DRET Rugby Talent Day.

Home to the Northampton Saints rugby team, students enjoyed a tour of Franklin Gardens before going into coaching sessions with the professionals.

There was also a chance to watch the first team training in the state-of-the-art gym.

Isabelle Perry, Sports Enrichment Officer, said: “The boys had a great time and we are grateful to Northampton Saints for being so accommodating.

“The students were very well behaved and they impressed the professionals with their commitment to the sport.”
