Loughborough's Charnwood College hosts Christmas concert

Students at Loughborough’s Charnwood College, part of the David Ross Education Trust, recently held their annual Christmas concert for parents, staff and governors.

As part of the annual concert, audience members sang along to Christmas carols and were treated to performances from talented students at the academy.

A number of Year 8 students performed a rendition 7 Years by Lukas Graham on guitar, whilst the academy’s wind band performed a variety of popular Christmas songs.

The concert featured a number of solo and group performances, as well as five contemporary pieces from the academy choir. To the delight of audience members, the evening also showcased many dance routines,

Alastair O’ Connor, Vice Principal at Charnwood College, said: “This was a highly successful evening, where students were able to gain experience in taking centre stage, overcome their nerves and perform in front of a very appreciative audience.”
